On Friday, 28 February, the Gold Coast North Chamber of Commerce hosted its first event of 2025 – Gold Coast’s Role in 2032: Building a Legacy Together. The high-impact forum brought together representatives from the Queensland Government, the City of Gold Coast, key business leaders, and sporting champions to discuss the city’s role in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With major decisions still to be made, the event explored venue allocation, infrastructure investment, tourism opportunities, and lasting legacy benefits.
Through four expert panel discussions, the event provided valuable insights from industry leaders, uncovered key growth opportunities, and encouraged forward-thinking conversations about the Gold Coast’s role in the 2032 Games.
The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Olympic legend Sally Pearson OAM, Board Chair of Invest Gold Coast Hon. Will Hodgman, National Leader for Project & Infrastructure Advisory at BDO Darren Black, General Manager of 2032 Games Coordination Trish Apps, and many more. Paul Brown from Paradise Fitness guided the event as MC, while Hot Tomato’s Emily Jade O’Keeffe moderated the panels.
