Ormeau rail facility: Local industry briefing
The Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) will build 65 new six-car passenger trains at a purpose-built manufacturing facility at Torbanlea, in the Fraser Coast region. A new rail facility for train maintenance and stabling will also be constructed at Ormeau, in the Gold Coast region.
Downer has been awarded the contract to deliver QTMP, and in partnership with DT Infrastructure, will design and construct the new rail facility at Ormeau.
